Banyuroso hot spring is the only hot spring in Magelang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. This spring is
located in Sumberarum Village, Tempuran District, Magelang Regency. From the observations, the average temperature of the Banyuroso spring is 36.7 o C. Most of the use of hot springs is for bathing place and daily needs. To meet the needs the surrounding community drilled wells with a depth of 100 m, which is 20 m from the point of emergence of the springs and the withdrawal discharge is 2 l/s. Since it is the only hot spring in Magelang Regency and the East Slope of Mount Sumbing with a fairly intense use of water, therefore research is needed to determine the recharge area. This is done as one of the conservative efforts in protecting the floodplain area of the Banyuroso spring. This study aims to determine the recharge area of the Banyuroso spring in Magelang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia using the isotope method. The research method was carried out by taking rainwater samples at 3 different elevations to obtain the meteoric water line (MWL). Furthermore, sampling of Banyuroso springs was carried out. From the alalysis, we can known that the elevation of groundwater recharge area of Banyuroso hot springs is coming from 640 masl until 687 masl so it is necessary to ensure that the recharge area is included in the water conservation area. |
