Abstrak/Abstract Image processing technique has been widely used to measure and understand the characteristic of the droplet impingement. In this study, the image processing technique for droplet diameter measurement was compared to experimental study using mathematical model. The droplet injector were G18-G27 syringe with inside diameter ranged from 0,838 mm up to 0,191. High speed photography technique was used to capture the water drops in order to understand the droplet behavior in the air. Different size of droplet injector was used to study the droplet diameter produced by different size of droplet injector. The experiment shows that the image processing technique has relatively well in accuracy. The quality of image processing technique depend on the picture resolution, the quality of the lenses and the quality of the lighting.
