I am currently an
Associate Professor in Oral Medicine Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Gadjah Mada
University. I am a dentist graduated from University of Gadjah Mada (1987). My
master programmes were completed from Melbourne University (1996) and from Gadjah
Mada University (2012). Ph.D. degree was obtained from Gadjah Mada University
in 2007. Main focus of research in Master (in Melbourne University) and Ph.D.
programme was related with oral carcinogenesis using animal model and herbal
medication. My research interest on Gerodontology was commenced when I was taking my master programme in
Gadjah Mada University in 2009 and reflected on my published papers and
scientific presentations in some countries. Recently, I have being invited as
keynote speakers in several international geriatric conferences/programmes in
Indonesia. Research in oral health of elderly in conjuction with systemic
health has been conducted since 2015 by recruiting the subject from elderly
communities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia with The Gerodontology Research Team of
Faculty of Dentistry, University of Gadjah Mada. Several papers have been
published either in national or in international journals related with the
topic of oral and systemic health in elderly.
